Elden “Fudder” Carl Moser was born January 19, 1932 at the family farm near Rosehill to H.J. and Pauline (Fastnacht) Moser. He grew up on the farm and graduated from the 8th grade at Rosehill. After walking sixteen miles to meet his military draft, he served in the 11th Airborne (Army) Combat in the Korean War on the front line infantry; serving from 1952 to 1954. He returned home and married the love of his life, Norma Jean Anderson on July 7, 1954. During this marriage, six children were born. Fudder worked very hard as a farm hand, spent several years as a butcher and then working construction for Westcott’s for 37 years.

Fudder’s greatest passions were hunting, fishing, making sausage, jerky, spending time with family and friends, and enjoyed dancing and music. He loved planting and tending to his garden and loved watching and protecting his chicken, ducks, and geese. He took great pride in teaching his grandkids and family the joys of hunting and fishing. He loved family gatherings, as family time was very important and time spent visiting with his many friends.
